For those of you who didn’t watch it live on the 24th, here’s a brief video recap of our Birthday Party at the Hilton Bentley in Miami!

How awesome is this birthday wish?

Kim is such a pro in front of the cameras!

And of course, she has the greatest fans.

Thank you to everyone who came out to party with us!

Maybe you didn’t make it to the gym this Fitness Friday, but you can still get your cardio on when you hit the club tonight. Health club? Night club? Take your pick! Did you know that dancing burns up to 300 calories per hour? True story! Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your crunk choreography!

- Suck it in; keeping your stomach pulled inward while you dance will actually tone and tighten your core.

- Do some leg work! Don’t just lean back all night, get your feet moving! Even a basic step-touch will help define your calves and thighs.

- If you decide to have a drink, stick to cocktails that have only one mixer, preferably club soda which, unlike tonic water, has no calories.

- A mad dash to the dollar menu might be your typical 2am ritual, but if you plan ahead, you can enjoy a healthier snack on the ride home

Now you can really work it out on the dance floor! Be safe and have a great weekend!

Thanks to all of you, we had a lovely first Birthday! Our party at the Hilton Bentley in Miami was a total blast! From our fab DJ to our fierce co-host, every part of the event could not have been better! A special congratulations to the lovely ladies who earned fabulous party favors with their impressive birthday wishes. You’ve helped make our first anniversary unforgettable; here’s your chance to make prom unforgettable for 1,000 deserving young ladies!

Much love and many thanks,

ShoeDazzle

I’ve asked around, and my trainer friends seem to agree that lunges are the best, quickest, and coolest leg workout you can do. We all know that high heels work your calves like a ranch hand, but if you want a total-leg workout that’ll heighten the hottness of your favorite ShoeDazzle shoes, lunges are the way to go!

-Targeted exercises, like the leg press, only work part of your leg. Lunges get it all: the front, the back, the side. Why not get the most for your effort?

-Don’t trip! Lunges help improve balance and agility. They’ll probably come in handy when you’re stomping around in 6-inch, platform stilettos this weekend.

-In addition to glamming your gams, lunges tone and firm your bootylicious assets.

-Google it; if you do lunges incorrectly, especially with weights, you can actually do more harm than good. Ask a trainer or check online. Just make sure you’re doing your lunges right and they’ll do you right in return.

The ladies who lunge look fabulous and fit! Join us!

This season’s green isn’t your typical shamrock shade; nor is it your yuletide holly hue! Green has taken a decidedly citrus turn this season, peeling into shades of chartreuse and olive. Even if you defaulted to Kelly green for the current holiday, think about venturing into the veritable jungle that is the color green–with particular emphasis on more yellow shades. Treat it as a neutral and you’ll be surprised by the looks you put together!

ShoeDazzle is excited to team up with the 2010 Elle Girl Model Search!

We’ve created a society of gorgeous, exceptionally fashionable women, and we’re thrilled to be part of a contest that helps young ladies just like you achieve their modeling dreams! One lucky contestant will win a 12-month subscription to ShoeDazzle and a trip to LA for a photo shoot with none other than our ravishing founder, Kim Kardashian! Grand prize is a modeling contract worth $25,000! Don’t forget, this is a great opportunity to be seen by industry pros. At ShoeDazzle, we love to see women dazzle with confidence and style! Best of luck to everyone who enters!

Demi always looks flawless, and Oscar night was no exception! She was undeniably radiant in her Atelier Versace gown.

- Not that this tiered dress isn’t spectacular, but what I love most about Demi’s look is the way it highlights her skin. Seriously, this is the red carpet equivalent of a bikini!

- Yes! Something about this dress reads “beachy”–maybe it’s the scalloped ruffles–so I’d definitely translate this look into something cruise-appropriate!

- Find accessories that combine nude tones with floral elements. They’ll help you get that tousled, elegant look.

- Combine volume with tight fits that accentuate your favorite features. If your tank is tiny, your shorts should be loose; if your jeans are skinny, your top should be flowy.

- Curves, curves, and more curves! Show them off, but temper them with classic accessories like pearls and a tan fedora!

It’s Fitness Friday, and this week we hope you step up to a great cause! If you’re in LA, join the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, March 14th! The race will take place at Dodger stadium, and you can help women get the treatment they need! You don’t have to run–you can walk!

Walking is a great way to exercise! Here are a few facts that we hope will encourage you to take a step in the right direction!

- Walking helps reduce the risk of some cancers, including breast cancer.

- Taking a walk not only burns fat and calories, but can actually control hunger!

- A good walk every day will increase circulation, make your skin look better, and help you get a good night’s sleep.

- Walking has been shown to improve mental alertness and elevate your mood.

- Regular walks will boost your metabolism and, according to some studies, slow the aging process!

- Long, slow walks will help you lose weight, but short, fast-paced walks will give your heart and lungs a great workout so they stay healthy and strong!

We know our Dazzlers can walk the walk and talk the talk. Have a great weekend!

Rachel McAdams compositely rocked it in Elie Saab. Granite and slate tones are a great way to transition into the saturated hues of spring!
- Look for nouveau takes on tie-dye. They’ll embody the free-form coloring of this stunning gown!

- Instead of ‘tone-on-tone’ go for ‘shade-on-shade’. The beauty of this dress is the gradual, yet erratic, fade from one color to the next. So, feel free to highlight every step in between with a moderating accessory.

- Bring volume to your look with ruffles, raffia-style gathering, and vertical seaming. Although her dress is a melange of colors, the way it drapes creates vertical lines that slim and elongate any figure!

- Emphasize the mix! This is obviously an impressionist take on an Oscar gown; so don’t be afraid to mix colors, textures, patterns, and finishes for an outfit that, while made up of discreet elements, melts together to support an overall look. Take a few steps back from the mirror to get a better perspective on how others will see you!

-This look translates into super-casual; heather gray can play a huge part in outfits that combine athletic elements, like tights and track jackets, with trendy pieces that feature ruffles and metallic finishes!

Zoe Saldana looked gorgeous in a violet vision by Givenchy! But if you–like me–have neither the occasion nor the budget to strut your stuff in Oscar-calibur gowns, there are still some inspirational fashion lessons to glean from the masters of glam who create them! I’ve asked the stylists to select their favorite dresses from Hollywood’s biggest night and offer some suggestions for ‘dressing down’ the winning looks for everyday wear!

- Don’t be afraid to mix different shades of the same color! Just make sure the hues are obviously different; that way it won’t look like you were trying to go matchy-matchy. With so many, easily discernible hues, purple is the perfect color for tone-on-tone looks that don’t appear washed out!

-Keeping darker shades concentrated in the lower half of your outfit will anchor your look and brighten your complexion!

-Your Mariah boots offer a very literal translation of the gown’s billowing ruffles, but you can hint at movement with metallic details, pleats, and even frayed denim!

- The section where the bodice meets the skirt is a clear source of intrigue. Look for pieces that juxtapose shiny details, like sequins, with matte finishes, like jersey and denim.
