Our musical ear buds are currently blossoming for the sister trio Haim. Native Angelenos Danielle, Este, and Alan Haim have a natural fan base in LA. But, their recent performance at Chloe’s first fashion show solidified their presence on the scene. We’re loving their chic look and indie sound; which has had deserving comparisons to Fleetwood Mac. Take a look at their video for “Falling” below, and tell us what you think.

Over the years, we’ve found that Mother Earth has an answer to most if not all of our beauty queries. With a little bit of experimentation we’ve found natural alternatives that can put your favorite beauty line to shame. If you’re up for a little DIY, follow Beauty Beat A-Z to add a little nature to your beauty regimen.

Sipping coffee is one of our favorite ways to combat fatigue. But, if we don’t take care of our eyes, swelling and dark circles can be a dead giveaway that we haven’t gotten a full night of sleep. However, the solution can be found in our beloved morning brew. Whether it’s coffee or tea, the caffeine it contains acts as a simulator causing skin to constrict and become firm.  Caffeine is also full of anti-inflammatory antioxidants that can brighten skin to reduce the appearance of shadows. Try this tip: apply a teabag or coffee bag topically after steeping and then allowing to cool in ice water.

It would be an understatement to say that we’re obsessed with FKA Twigs. The London based singer, whose doll like face was featured on the pre-fall 2012 I-D cover, is quickly garnering attention for her edgy lyrics and angelic voice. Dare we say, girl power?!

If you want stellar skin, you should indulge in the sweet side of life and use brown sugar as a natural scrub for your face and body. This sweet grain packs a powerful component called glycolic acid which is commonly used in beauty products to fight acne. Without harming our skin, the super small and soft particles work together to break down the stuff that helps dead skin cells form and reveal smooth and radiant skin. Brown sugar is also a humectant, so it draws in moisture and stores it for our driest moments. Simply apply the sugar to damp skin, rub gently in a circular motion and voila you’re on your way to glowing skin!
