So fast. Summer seems to have gone by so fast, which maybe means we’ve just been having too much fun in the sun. Road trips with friends, massive music festivals, and countless nights out on the town…and quite frankly, we want more.

So ephemeral, this season always teases and never seems to last long enough. It’s probably why we love it so much. But here’s to making it last, and holding out for one last summer memory.

And here’s to New Arrivals: the best way to welcome what’s new.

make it last

Just like an outfit isn’t complete without the right piece, summer isn’t complete without the right drink. Summertime is nearing its end but it wouldn’t be complete without a healthy glass of spiked strawberry lemonade. Better late than never, here’s a sweet and easy recipe for this timeless warm-weather essential.

Lemonade a la Antiqua: pair off with the perfect dress sandal.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED (serves four)

16 ounces of strawberries
1 cup sugar
3 medium lemons
2 tablespoons of honey
2 cups drinking water
2 cups seltzer water

HOW TO MAKE

Gently roll the lemons down between your palm and a counter-top to get the juices flowing. Halve the lemons and squeeze the juice through a strainer into a pitcher.

In a medium saucepan, bring drinking water and sugar to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely, then pour into the pitcher.

Puree strawberries and honey in a blender. Transfer to the pitcher and refrigerate until well chilled.

More than what we’re sipping, the best part of having a drink with friends is the get-together. The wine we have and the spirits we savor are second to the stories we tell and the laughter we share. But we can still enjoy a little drink here and there, so here’s our take on everyone’s favorite social drink: the sangria. Make a batch and toast to your time together!

More to love: new arrivals for a night out are here.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1 750 ml bottle of white wine (Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, etc.)
1 orange sliced into wedges
1 lemon sliced into wedges
1 fresh pineapple diced into 1-inch chunks
1/4 cup of sugar
4 cups of ginger ale or lemon lime soda
1/2 cup of coconut rum
1 bunch of fresh mint leaves

HOW TO MAKE

Pour wine into a large pitcher, squeeze in the juice from the lemon and orange wedges (don’t discard wedges), add sugar, and stir. Toss in fruit wedges (removing seeds) and pineapple, then chill overnight.

Add soda, rum, and ice to pitcher just before serving. Muddle clean mint leaves into each serving glass and pour sangria over leaves. Enjoy.
