Sazerac & Sanya: this week’s cocktail was pretty much chosen for how good it would look next to one of current faves, Sanya. This American original was also chosen for its sophisticated flavors, which when paired with Sanya’s luxurious gold accents, makes it easy for anybody to feel like a VIP. Give it a try and release the sexy socialite in you!

Sazerac paired with Sanya

2 ounces rye whiskey
1/2 ounce of simple syrup
1/4 ounce of absinthe
2 dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters
Lemon peel to garnish

Fill an old fashioned glass with ice and set aside to chill. In a separate mixing glass, add a few ice cubes, rye whiskey, simple syrup, and Peychaud’s Bitters and stir.

Discard the ice from the old fashioned glass. Pour the absinthe in and turn the glass until the inside of the glass is well coated; discard excess liquid.

Strain the rye mixture into the old fashioned glass discarding the ice, rub a lemon peel around the rim, and enjoy!

Life is better when there’s love involved! Autumn has dawned and we’re letting ourselves fall in love with the little things; the turning color of leaves, the cool drop in temperature, and a daily dose or two of delicious pumpkin spice lattes. But most of all, we absolutely LOVE that it’s boot season. So here are some tunes to enjoy as you strut your stuff in your favorite fall boots.

We’ve all waited long enough for it, so let’s celebrate boot season!

Allspice, cloves, and cinnamon sticks…sure signs of the new season! Summer is officially almost over and we can’t wait to switch gears to full-on fall, and what better way to transition than to share a wonderfully warm and inviting Fall Sangria?

Delicious and perfect for get-togethers: this spiced cocktail is perfect with autumn reds. Be sure to pair with new fall styles!

Just being honest here: we’re in a mojito mood. There’s some inexplicable something about mint, lime, and a sweet kick of rum that’s simply satisfying. So we’d like to present you with this blackberry infused mojito: even more satisfying when paired with exotic style.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED (serves 2)

1 cup blackberries
10 mint leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 cup seltzer water
1/4 cup rum
ice cubes

Stir and serve.

Just one more! We just want to enjoy one more Mai Tai, one more time, before we make it official and say goodbye to summer. We feel it. The days are getting shorter and a little less warm. The beach less crowded, the roads more jammed. We’ve almost made it to fall and we really couldn’t be happier (hello there, boot season ) but we’re hopeless romantics and can’t help but savor the last days of the season. You’ve been good to us, Summer, but we’re looking forward to transitioning to fall colors and maybe finally letting up on the beach-body maintenance and extreme gym routine. Cheers, to the hottest season of all time.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED (makes one cocktail)

1 oz light rum
1/2 oz dark rum
1/2 oz Orgeat syrup*
1/2 oz orange liquer
1/2 oz lime juice
Maraschino cherry for garnish

*(can substitute with creme de almond or a simple syrup with a touch of almond extract)

Pour all ingredients (except for dark rum) into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into an old-fashioned glass (or short tumbler) half filled with ice, top off with the dark rum, and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

OPTIONAL: For a fun gradient effect, try pouring maraschino cherry syrup (or Grenadine) into the bottom of the glass before adding the rest of the ingredients.
