Thirsty Thursday: Our Fave Cinco de Mayo Margarita

What’s Cinco de Mayo without a couple Margaritas? Let’s toast to one of our favorite holidays with this easy-to-make version of everyone’s favorite tequila cocktail. Leave a comment below and tell us how you like your Margaritas!

INGREDIENTS:
3 ounces tequila
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup (recipe below)
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
Ice Cubes
Lime to garnish
Kosher salt to garnish

Simple Syrup Ingredients & Directions:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Put sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves; can also be heated in microwave. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

DIRECTIONS:
Place Kosher salt on a plate, moisten the rim of serving glass with a dampened paper towel, then dip the rim into salt until coated.

Fill the glass with tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Stir until mixed. Add ice to chill. Garnish with quartered lime if you’d like and you’re done!
