DIY: How To Make Tassels For Your Heels

If you like accessorizing your shoes, this DIY post is for you! Tassels and pom poms are having a major moment in the fashion world. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make the perfect tassels for your favorite summer sandals. Let’s begin:

Step 1:

Items you needStep-1.-Materials

  • Scissors
  • Small leather pieces
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Ruler & Pencil
  • Colorful thread
  • Cute beads (we picked faux pearls)

Step-2.-Prep

Once you’ve picked the materials, the steps are pretty straight forward. Make sure to pick leather pieces that will complement different shoes. Start with neutrals and work your way up to some fun colors.

Step 2:

Measure & Cut

It’s important that the tassels are not too long or too short. 2.5 inches width and 2.5 inches height will work perfectly. Make sure you cut the top slightly slanted so you can fold it. Remember: measuring right is key.

Step-3.-Measure.-cut

Go ahead, cut that fringe.

Step 4:

Hot Glue the Tassels

At this point, you have cut all your pieces and can start using the hot glue gun. You will only need a small dab at the very end.
