Hi Shoedazzle Girls! My name is Cielo aka @mermaidinheels. I am the blogger behind fashion blog, www.mermaidinheels.com. I am also a makeup artist and fashion/accessory designer. I LOVE expressing my art through fashion and makeup. I am what you may call a shoe-aholic. Shoes are my obsession and I think I can never have enough! Street-style-glam is how I would describe my personal style. I love to incorporate urban and trendy with glam elements.
Fall season is coming and I honestly, I hate to see summer go. I love dressing for summer, but who says I can’t wear my summer clothes to transition for fall? I hate being too bundled up and I love the challenge of incorporating my summer outfits with fall looks. Check out how I styled some looks for the coming fall season!
Schoolgirl Chic
I love short styles. I’m a petite girl, so I need to elongate my figure by making my legs look longer with short dresses or shorts. As a designer, I love draping and tying my clothes in knots like I did on the side torso of my striped dress. The knot gives the dress a unique flare which I love. The Marlena heels give me more height, and I love how comfy they are to wear even if I do a lot of walking.
Back to Black
You can never go wrong with black! I love how chic this Knit Off Shoulder dress is. It normally falls until the knees but it is so easy and versatile that I can do a quick ruching on the sides for a shorter look that is more street style. Leather jackets are my favorite and it makes this look so great for fall. I picked these hot Arlena heels in nude which complements the whole look. I love the lace-up trend for fall and nude heels always make my legs look longer.
Boot Season
Boots don’t have to look bulky and frumpy. I have a thing for heels and over the knee boots, but sometimes I like to opt for comfort. I love how the Lynette boots are both comfy and stylish at the same time. I can walk for hours in this comfy pair! I wore this nice dress I had for the summer which falls below my knees. A quick knot on the side, makes it ultra chic for a look with boots! The 90’s trends are back so I picked this acid wash denim vest to complete the look for when it gets a little colder and I need to cover up a bit.
Hope you like my looks! Let me know how you transition for fall! Comment below! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, @mermaidinheels. Thanks for dropping by!
