Getaway Style: Napa Valley

Your What-to-Wear-in-Wine-Country Guide

While entertaining the idea of a late-summer trip, Napa might come up. We highly recommend it. Known for its sprawling award-winning vineyards, luxe lodgings and nearby St. Helena and Yountville; the destination is quite a treat.

But, with any vacation, there is the question of fashion and what to pack. We’ve come up with some inspiration of how to style yourself when wine tasting during the day, and dining and cocktailing at night. Plus, we’ve thrown in a couple of our favorite local spots!

By Day

Slip into our bohemia-chic fringe boot, Karis, and team it with a white sundress for a look that’s effortless. For toting around your map, camera and wallet, opt for the Bobby bucket bag. Finish with a sun hat and sunnies. And to go with it all, choose a boutique winery off the beaten path. We love Robert Biale Vineyards for its alfresco tasting tables, stunning scenery, rustic feel, and topnotch zinfandels.

What to wear-by night

By Night

Despite its quaint country feel, Napa can get pretty lively at night. After some hydration and a quick siesta, lace-up our printed Maya bootie with a playful skirt, crop top and the sleek Angelo bag. Keep your makeup and jewelry low-key. Then head out to the always-packed Tra Vigne in neighboring St. Helena. You’ll be whisked away by its Tuscan charm, famous handmade mozzarella, and never-ending wine list. Maxing and relaxing under the stars in a gorgeous Italian-style courtyard with a glass of bubbly…yes, please.
