Memorial Day Weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a time where everyone comes out of their weekly routines to play. Not only will you find all the cool events and amazing sales this weekend, but you will also get a chance to show off your pre-summer-best outfits! Here’s a guide to wowing the party in your new pieces.
There are two things I never miss—a good sale, and I surely never miss a good BBQ! Great music, good company, and even better food is what you can find at a Memorial Day BBQ; and let’s not mention the little hottie you might spot by the cooler (wink). But it’s not just about the fun and food for me. I like to express my eclectic sense of style, which ends sparking a lot of attention.
If you like attention, opt for a shoe that is bold and eye-catching. You’ll find that your shoes will be a conversation starter, and a great way to meet new friends that share your interest in fashion. You may even find a shopping buddy! For this look, I paired the Poppy wedges with an off-the-shoulder, boho-chic dress. I chose to keep the outfit neutral, so the Poppy wedges can get the attention they deserve. To finish off the look, I added a mini-handbag and a classic floppy hat to tie in the retro-chic look of the shoes. Now I’m ready to sizzle!
Memorial Day Weekend is also a great time for a boat trip! I tip my sailor hat to you if you can fight the sea-sickness, and still look chic doing it! This look has a serious tropical vibe with these printed shorts, denim bralette, and the Lorin platforms.
