Nanette Lepore knows how to throw a good party along with her show, and for her Spring ‘13 line she did not disappoint! Opening with a live performance by Brazilian Girls, the mood was set with an upbeat, jungle rhythm, so the models sporting her newest looks had a spring in their step. Pun fully intended!
And talk about a spring fling– the Dazzle Dolls found themselves itching for April, even though we just finished summer! Looks like Nanette Lepore is designating bright green as the color of her season, as there were plenty of envious numbers in the fresh shade, and she threw in a bit of orange sherbet to keep things playful. Prints were inspired by Oriental florals, and our favorite dresses featured a sexy criss-cross lattice back that added the perfect touch of naughty to the ladylike silhouettes.
There were also sheer knits as poolside cover-ups, and one-piece bathing suits with extreme high cut legs; so ‘80s and yet such a cool way to rock a onesie! Graphic prints rounded out the game, mixed themselves in effortlessly with the florals, and even decked out a full pantsuit.
Nanette Lepore finished the show herself, dancing down the runway along with the band and her fave model. Lights down, but the bright styles will be sticking with us ‘til Spring!
