The way we met is pretty typical for the social media world, yet we still love to talk about it. We both recall a time when there was no such thing as social media, and here we are today! Last year, Angela began following my Instagram page a couple months before reaching out. What drew her to my posts was my love for it all: fashion, beauty, style, and of course shoes! After realizing we shared common interests, Angela informed me of her Shoedazzle collection . . . needless to say it was a no-brainer to invite her to the Shoedazzle Stiletto Society.
And then, one winter evening, we met up at her job, and carpooled to the Project Sunshine-Shoedazzle charity event, featuring former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. We got to know each other on the car ride up. Who knew a freeway ride in So-Cal traffic would be an ice-breaker?! It was quite an unorthodox way to meet, but hey, what’s the worst that can happen between two like-minded fashionistas, other than not having fashion-like minds?
Our friendship is more of a sisterhood. As besties we find that support is a priority. We are encouraging to one another, and empower each other, regularly. When one of us is overwhelmed, the other lends a helping hand or ear at the drop of a hat. When one of us has 20 pairs of shoes in her shopping cart knowing that her ATM card will cause havok, the other stops us and joins in on the fun to cause more havok. Our friendship is refreshing, fun, and full of girl power!

My personal style is conservatively-classy. I gravitate towards simple clothing that’s very chic, and elegant, with just a dash of edge.
I wanted a look that was effortless from top-to-bottom. I was going for something refreshing, yet playful, light, and full of personality. I really gravitate towards looks that can be worn day-to-night, effortlessly. I absolutely love how easy shirt dresses are to style; one simple item can be worn in so many ways! I can style this dress casually, or for a night out on the town. One of my favorite styles to rock on my feet are platforms. I fell in love with the Alize platform because of the design, color, and height. It’s the perfect platform to wear for just about any occasion. I knew these heels would complement the shirt dress well. I completed my look with the Corbin handbag. I love big bags and I cannot lie, I can fit all of my essentials and more into this bag! I’m a matching-leathers kind of gal, and Corbin was the icing on the cake for this look.

I can say that my style varies from comfortable to chic. I can be the casual cutie or the daring diva, and it is so refreshing that Shoedazzle provides stylish pieces to achieve both looks. Today, I felt like a “casual cutie”, so I decided to go with the off-shoulder knit top and split-leg palazzo pants. Both have light & airy fabric, and are easy to wear for the spring and summer seasons. Perfect way to dress down, but still look fashionable . I chose the Anjelah pump to pair with the Ace bag because solid accessories are the best complements to simple wardrobe pieces.
