Phew! I can exhale now because tropical prints are still a thing. Anything related to a humid climate with the combined scent of Plumeria and salt water has me longing for aloe, some sort of blue cocktail, sandy skin and board shorts…I LOVE board shorts!
But see, next spring will be different. Instead of graphic palm trees and waves; it’s going to be all about the vintage-inspired Hawaiian print. This may be a way of designers yearning to pay tribute to the unforgettable pipes (and fun button-down shirts) of Don Ho and even Elvis Presley. And because we won’t get to cover ourselves with these blooms for several months, it might be time to watch Blue Crush over and over again until the tide comes in.
