Spoiler alert: Mindy Kaling’s supercute pixie cut on last season’s finale of The Mindy Project was only a wig. We thought the piecey chopped look was a big Carey Mulligan-esque win for Mindy, but then we saw her sipping champagne on the Kathie Lee/Hoda hour of the Today Show, bemoaning that the cut looked less like Natalie Portman and more like “a little Indian boy.” No matter. She’s got bigger concerns than her tresses this upcoming season. In case you haven’t heard, multihyphenate James Franco is showing up to guest star as Mindy’s new nemesis at work.
