Meet Nadia! You might have seen her captivating hearts on our Instagram recently, or featured on your favorite fashion news site. She’s not your average blogger, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

How did you get your start in blogging?

Tumblr was a really good platform for me but I believe one of my first features was in Teen Vogue.

You often begin your blog posts with a quote. What are some wise words you personally live by?

My favorite quote ever probably has to be “What other people think of me is none of my business.”

Also love this quote “For me, luck is preparation, meeting the moment of opportunity. There is no luck without you being prepared to handle that moment of opportunity. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for the moment that is to come”

You’re also a model. What’s been a defining moment in your career?

A defining moment for me is when I made Complex Magazine’s list of top models. I was on a flight from Florida back to New York and as soon as I got off my flight, I saw it and couldn’t contain my excitement.

A lot of women slim or curvy have had to consciously work to embrace their body type and tear down beauty standards given to them. Have you always been confident? If not, how has the journey been for you?

I was fortunate to be very confident in myself at a young age. When I was 12 or so, I weighed an extreme amount. One Summer my mom put me on a healthier diet and lost a significant amount of weight. When I went back to school, I saw how different people treated because I looked different. I learned quickly at a very young age how shallow people can be and it really built my confidence and made me understand that as long as I’m happy with myself, that’s what is important.

You’ve been blonde, brunette, had long tresses and short. Is there any correlation between hair and femininity for you?

Not for me. I use to have my hair super long and one day decided it wasn’t what made me feminine, I wanted a change and I didn’t want to hide behind it so I chopped it all off. I don’t think the length of a woman’s hair makes them any more feminine than the next woman.

Where do you draw style inspiration from?

Just about any and everything!

Finish the sentence: When I want to feel beautiful I _________________.

When I want to feel beautiful I call my mom to remind me haha.
