Allow us to present to you the Blackberry Bourbon Fizz: a light and refreshing cocktail that’s easy-to-make and easier to drink. Absolute perfection at a post New Year’s brunch.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED (makes 1)

1/2 orange, sliced
1/2 cup fresh blackberries
4-6 mint leaves
1 tsp sugar
2 oz bourbon
soda water


-Muddle orange slices, blackberries, mint and sugar in a shaker or mixing bowl.

-Add bourbon and shake or stir.

-Strain over ice and top glass off with soda water.

-Garnish with mint and an orange slice, if you’re fancy.

Looking to add more holiday cheer to your day? Then why not give this classic Christmas cocktail a try? Everyone knows and loves the sweet taste of holiday eggnog, so you know it’ll taste even better when you make it from scratch. Make a batch and share with your loved ones for an easy way to spread some real holiday spirit!

Eggnog and Damia


4 egg yolks
1 cup milk
1 cup cream
½ cups white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¾ cup rum or brandy


-To create the milk mixture, combine the milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla in a large saucepan. Cook on medium low heat until it comes to a low boil, stirring occasionally.

-To make the egg mixture, combine the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl, and whisk until fluffy.

-Slowly add the milk mixture to the egg mixture and whisk it until the ingredients are mixed well. Pour the combined mixture back into the saucepan and cook it over medium heat for 3 – 5 minutes until it becomes thick. Stir frequently and do not let the mixture boil.

-Remove the eggnog from heat and Let cool for about an hour or two.

-Stir in the cream and rum or brandy; mix well.

-Tightly cover the eggnog with plastic wrap. Refrigerate it overnight to let the flavors mingle. Garnish with a dash of nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. Done.
