Describe a normal day at Real Simple? On a typical day, I balance the responsibilities of discovering new designers, previewing collections, and finding suitable pieces for the stories we are working on. While it can be filled with long hours, it never feels like work 🙂
What components complete your style? My style is a combination of minimalist with feminine and global influences interspersed. I love to pair new designers’ pieces with classic silhouettes, and a top it off with a little flair.
Who’s your style muse? In terms of style, I love and identify with the glamour and ladylike quality of Old Hollywood icons, and consistently draw from them, like Grace Kelly and Marilyn. Though I equally appreciate artistic and modern interpretations of street style dressing.
What trends do you have on your radar? I love how leather and leopard have become new wardrobe staples: neutrals, if you will. Especially in a New York climate, its welcome and a versatile addition to a fall/winter wardrobe.
Summer Getaway? I just spent the summer in Nantucket with my family, which is my summertime sanctuary. It is filled with beautiful beaches, all-American pastimes and it’s the perfect place to unwind beyond the hustle and bustle of NYC.
