It’s Happy Hour: Whip Up this Delicious Hot Spring Fling Margarita
If you’re anything like us, the warm-weather has you dreaming of long days sipping delicious cocktails by the pool. And while we’ll always be fans of a good ‘ol basic margarita, these days, we’re all about taking an innovative approach to mixology!
If you’re on the hunt for a drink that’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, look no further than this Jalapeno Grapefruit Margarita. It’s not only delicious, but it’s totally Instagram worthy, too!
Enjoy!
What You’ll Need:
1 ½ cups of your favorite tequila
2 cups grapefruit juice
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
4 tablespoons honey
1-2 whole jalapenos, sliced
Grapefruit slices for garnish
Granulated sugar and freshly cracked pepper for rimming the glasses
What to do:
In a shallow plate, combine the sugar and pepper. Use the mixture to rim the glasses. Combine all of the ingredients in your prettiest pitcher and stir well to combine. Keep refrigerated for up to 2 hours, checking the spiciness every 30 minutes or so. Remove the jalapenos from the drink once you’re happy with the spiciness. When you’re ready to serve, rim your glasses in the sugar and pepper mixture, add ice cubes to each glass, and pour your margarita over the ice. Finish by garnishing with some grapefruit and jalapeno slices.
